You can climb a literal mountain to tone your abs and legs……or you could do a more affordable exercise anywhere, anytime called Mountain Climbers!
Add the mountain climber exercise to your exercise routine and you’ll start seeing faster results with your fat loss. It is one of the best and toughest exercises out there. You can start doing this exercise slow to get the hang of it and speed it up once you’re in better condition.
The mountain climber is a compound exercise in that it works the calves, quadriceps, glutes, back, chest, triceps, abdominals and shoulders. You will need high levels of core strength to do this exercise the right way for each set.
From a push-up position, keep your back flat (do not let your back bow) and pump your legs as fast as possible like you are running in place. Don’t scrape the ground with your shoes as they run forward. And, don’t let your glutes “sag to the ground” when you are fatigued.

This is one of my favourite exercises.
As a useful twist, I find if you bring one leg right up close to your hand you can achieve a very powerful stretch in the glutes, adductors and hamstrings.
Great for hip mobility.
